Mr. P.S.Ramaswamy is an action oriented visionary who thinks globally, acts locally andcommits personally. He is truly a multi faceted personality.
A born Leo, wasa bright student in the school and college and completed his graduation in oneof the prestigious college NARSEE MUNJEE COLLEGE OF COMMERCE & ECONOMICS inthe year 1977. He further studied andacquired Post Graduate qualification of Chartered Accountant and is a fellowmember of Institute of Chartered Accountants. He is also a law graduate.
He started hiscareer in multi-national company. However, his inner drive to do something onhis own made him take up the professional career of Chartered Accountant in theyear 1984. During his professional career as a Chartered Accountant he had manyCorporate clients and he is specialized in areas of Finance, Accounts andAudit. Mr. Ramaswamy, was appreciated for his innovative skills in profession,fair investment advise and strategies in debt and capital market.
An excellentorator having great command over Hindi, English, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil andMalayalam has been invited to make presentations on various subjects ofprofessional concern since inception of his career.
Mr. Ramaswamy isa Chartered member of Lions Club of Bombay Oshiwara Crescent organized in theyear 1991. He was the Clubs chartered 1stVice President and then Club Directorship for almost all the years. Owing tohis distinguished leadership qualities, motivational skills and indebtknowledge of the ideals of Lionism he was crowned as the Club President in theyear 1993-94 and also in the year 2002-03.
A greatPhilanthropist with the vision of helping the mankind made various contributionsto the LCIF which won him the MJF status. He was instrumental in carrying out the mega project of setting up the 5star water fountain and road beautification project in Jogeshwari. All his efforts won him many awards,recognitions and citations.
After Presidentshiphe started shouldering various District Assignments like Zone ChairpersonMission-30 Chairperson, Additional District Cabinet Treasurer, Youth Exchange Chairperson,District Membership Chairperson and District Chairperson of various DistrictCommittees.
As a man offinance he found this rightful place in the path of Lionism when he wasselected as the District Cabinet Treasurer in the year 2006-7. During histenure as District Cabinet Treasurer he could ensure zero defect administrationand also ensured 100% collection of dues from the various clubs. He could regularize various compliances ofstatutory nature. He also ensured timelysubmission and adopted of audited accounts before time.
Mr. Ramaswamydue to his ability and sincerity could also handle the responsibility of AdditionalCabinet Treasurer for the ISSAME Forum in the year 2006. He was also in theSteering Committee of Western India Regional Council of Chartered Accountantsfor Diamond Jubilee celebration, where he could execute Projects worth Rupeestwenty five lakhs.
His journey inLionism continued beyond when he acquired the vibrant position of D. C.Leadership 2007-08. The two Leadership Institutes that he established duringhis Chairmanship were the First of its kind in the District.
AsD.C. Lions Quest he has implemented Lions Quest Program for 5000 schoolchildren and conducted two TTW seminars with more than 40 schoolsparticipating. His exemplary services won him the multiple award in 2008-09 asthe Best D. C. Lions Quest. He has won Appreciation Awards from District forall the positions held by him. He is recipient of International PresidentsAppreciation Certificate for 6 years in a row. He is also recipient of International President Leadership Medal twice.
Duringthe year 2010-11 as 1st Vice District Governor, he could help theDistrict achieve membership net growth of more than 900. With the support of leadership chairman theDistrict could conduct leadership seminars every month. As a member of the District Governor’s teamhe could help the District Governor to achieve record service activities duringthe year.
Hehas sponsored 25 members so far and extended one club. Mr. Ramaswamy is aProgressive Melvin Jones Fellow (PMJF).
Due to hisqualification, knowledge and oratory skills he has been invited as faculty totrain District Cabinet Treasurers in the Multiple Convention held in Indore inthe year 2009-10 . He has been afavorite of many districts and clubs who invited him as faculty in their P.S.T.seminar, Leadership institutes and club training workshops.
HisPartner in Service Mrs. Meena is also an active Lion. She was President of theClub, then Zone Chairperson in 2008-09 and in 2009-11 D.C “Brother Hood”Scheme. She is at present DC Lioness Coordiantor, Theyare blessed with two Sons, Rushabh and Nimesh, who are pursuing their studies.
Mr. Ramaswamy isgoing to lead the District 323 A3 for the lionistic year 2011-12 and has beeninstalled by the worthy hands of International President Wing-Kun Tam in therecently concluded International Convention at Seattle, USA. His motto is “AIM FOR THE BEST” and his theme is ”Create Wonderful Moments”.
